Energetic Support with Reiki

I like to say that Reiki found me. It showed up unexpectedly, over and over, until I finally decided to follow where it was leading. Through my training I discovered not only a beautiful practice, but the importance of being gentle and kind with ourselves, and caring for ourselves so we can show up to care for others—a lesson I've had to come back to, again and again.

Reiki is a different experience for everyone, but at its core it's an invitation to slow down and tend to yourself. And like my approach to nutrition counseling, my role as a Reiki practitioner isn't to create a shift for you, but to offer you the possibility of one. This is something a wise teacher once reminded me of, and it has stayed with me ever since.

How Reiki can support functional nutrition

In functional nutrition, we spend a lot of time looking at what's happening in the body physiologically. But the body holds more than biology. It holds stress, grief, memory, and everything we've been through. For clients who are interested, I offer the option of weaving Reiki into our work together as an additional layer of support.

What this looks like in practice

While Reiki traditionally is practiced in person, often with hands hovering gently above the body, it can also be offered from a distance. For my virtual functional nutrition clients, I offer a single complimentary 40-minute session for those who are curious.

If you're interested in booking a virtual session outside of nutrition counseling, I'd love to hear from you. I also offer occasional in-person sessions for those located in the NYC area.
